Guy Hamer is taking part in an inspired 253 mile walk to help raise funds for a man he hardly knows, who was paralysed after a horrific accident.

Craig Dennis 25 captain of North Tawton RFC was helping on his parents farm in June when he fell through a roof 20ft and landed on a concrete floor below, he was lucky to survive but suffered life threatening injuries.

Guy is hoping to raise in excess of £500 which will go towards Craig's specialised wheelchair, while walking around all the clubs that Craig would have hoped to visit as captain of North Tawton RFC during the 2019-20 season.

The route will take in Pirates Amateurs - Veor - Truro - Liskeard Looe - Tavistock - Plymstock Albion Oaks - Paignton - Torquay Athletic - Exeter Athletic - Topsham - South Molton - Bude - North Tawton
This encompasses all 13 teams that Craig would have played/captained/drank beer at representing North Tawton RFC in the Cornwall/Devon league in the 2019/20 season, covering a total distance of 253 miles, Guy hopes to complete this in approximately 9 days.
Craig is hoping to travel with North Tawton 1st XV on all the away fixtures throughout the season, and Truro RFC are scheduled to host them on Saturday 28th September, a perfect opportunity for the Truro RFC family to support this worthy fundraising cause.

Craig's long term goal is to get himself involved and participating in wheelchair rugby. With that positive attitude, the support of his wife Chloe, and the help of family and friends around him, nothing will stop him.
