Dear Club Chairs, Club Coaching Coordinators, Match Officials and Volunteers,

Cornwall RFU Development Day 2026

On Sunday 11 October 2026, Cornwall RFU (CRFU) will host its annual Development Day at St Austell RFC.

The day will offer an excellent opportunity for coaches, match officials, first aiders, and rugby volunteers to refresh their knowledge, develop new skills, and share best practice with colleagues from across the county.

Arrival Time: 9:00am
Start Time: 9:30am
Please note that several sessions will involve practical outdoor activities. Attendees are advised to dress appropriately for the weather conditions.
Tea and coffee will be provided throughout the day; however, attendees will need to bring their own lunch.

The following courses and development opportunities will be available during the day:
RFU Courses
The following courses must be booked through England Rugby Learning:

• Developing Coaching Practice
• Play It Safe
• Ready2Ref

Please ensure that any required pre-course learning is completed before attending. Also, please remember CRFU will support with funding for training courses.
CRFU Courses and Workshops
The following sessions must be booked using the CRFU Development Day Google Form:

Important Information
Where clubs are nominating a Team First Aider, please note that the nominated individual must not be one of the coaches assigned to that team.
We encourage all clubs to take advantage of this valuable development opportunity and ensure that coaches, match officials, first aiders and volunteers continue to develop their skills and knowledge for the benefit of the game throughout Cornwall.
