The tale of a summer refurbishment. 11th July, all calm in the clubhouse, before Andy and his motley crew of tradesmen, and club volunteers let rip

There's no going back now!

It took Milly and Cyril days to make this floor look nice in the last century, only a couple of hours to remove with this handy tool for the job

Week one over, flooring gone, walls prepared.

Kitchen wall removed and serving area doubled

Darren is upgrading the radiators and having all the old pipework ripped out in the main bar area

Ross and Diddy have the place all battened and boarded, ready for plastering

End of week 2, great progress, walls plastered, painted, work on the ceiling coming along nicely

Can someone crush the skip please?

Ceiling down and a whole can of worms opened up, thanks to Luke Rowe and his company LHR for sorting all the electrics out

Week 3, full steam ahead, no stopping this team.

Electrics sorted, Kev, Ros, Jo, Tim and Andy full steam ahead with the refit of the ceiling.

The Under 15 Decorators lineup

Week 4 and we're ready for laying the flooring

Lusky and his crew have done a fantastic job to lay the floor in two days, flat out.

Luke has been busy sorting out all the electrics in the kitchen, despite Ross panelling over some cables, and he has the unenviable job of fitting the extraction canopy to the ceiling

Thanks to Truro City Parks and Amanda Jewell we've even spruced up the outside with these planters

Nearly there, final touches all around.

Finally, a massive thank you to all our volunteers, club members, and tradespeople. You have been awesome in helping us realise this project, and the speed at which it has taken place has been fantastic.
