Truro RFC came away victorious, winning 31 - 19 in the Senior Cup Final on Saturday, 23rd August, against a strong Bude side that fought hard all the way to the end. Truro fielded a side with a mix of youth and experience, and were well supported by the faithful Truro RFC travelling supporters.

Truro scored five well-worked tries, Luis Powell opened the scoring early on, then Jalal, the young hooker, finished off a well-worked move, to end the first half 14 - 5 up.
Truro started the second half fast, with tries from Josh Anderson and Adam Long in the first 5 minutes. The Bude team came back into the game and worked hard to get within touching distance of Truro, before Liam Jolly went through to score the 5th Try.
Matt Symons gave a great defensive display, while also running hard and making holes in the Bude defence, which earned him the Man of the Match award. Notable were also strong displays from Dan Head, the Truro RFC captain, who kept the focus all the way to the final whistle.
Truro now look forward to their first league game on Saturday, 6th September, away to Kingsbridge.
