Truro fielded a young side, with new players Mikey Howell, Henry Hempstead and Owen Hollis all making their debuts. We also saw the return of two former players, with Josh Symons and Ethan Pattinson back in the fold.
Truro Captain for the season is Declan Matthews, who has moved from the Centre to Truro’s back row. Vice-captain responsibilities this year will be shared between Lewis Richards and Harri Metcalfe.
Unfortunately, the team fell just short on this occasion, with Kingsbridge winning by a single converted try.
Truro scored two well-worked tries, one by Harri Metcalfe and the other by Jarvis Lee.
The Truro side go again next Saturday away to Newton Abbott.
